This is another recipe from Moms Who Think (see link below). Frankly, any recipe that includes Coca-Cola sounds great to me! Although my husband just used what we had in the fridge, which was Diet Cherry Coke--still tasted good! I served this with the green beans and bread. Makes 4-6 servings, depending on the size of the roast.
You'll Need:
- 1 beef roast, 3-4 lbs.
- 1 can Coca-Cola
- 1 pkg. onion soup mix
- 1 bottle chili sauce
- 2 cans regular green beans, drained
- 1 tsp. garlic powder
- 2 Tblsp. butter
Preparation:
- Place all ingredients in crockpot and cook on low for 7-10 hours, depending on size of roast.
- The meat will flake apart when done. Serve over mashed potatoes (or not; I didn't).
- For the green beans, heat them in a saucepan with garlic powder and butter.

I made this same recipe just the other day. It wasn't cherry flavored cola though.
